TRZ Quick Steer Aluminum Steering arms are ONLY meant for use with front steer Rack & Pinion setups. Proven in drag race applications. TRZ steering arms have two adjustment holes in them. The closest holes to the spindles should be used for drag racing, inner holes lack some radius, but are more stable. (steering is not as touchy) The outer holes are designed for street driving. Turning angle improved 15-30% from TRZ's traditional steering arms, depending on which hole set is being used. Adding the aluminum steering arms to the drop spindles also helps with the bump steer geometry. The stock arms are angled and the TRZ Motorsports are straight, allowing the rod ends and ball joint to better align. The closer you can get the rod end side of the rack to be in line with the ball joint the less bump steer you will have. The rest can be eliminated with a bump steer kit. With a set of light weight billet aluminum steering arms alone you should drop weight at about six pounds per side. With a set of steering arms and TRZ drop spindle you should remove about 13lbs per side. Add a set of TRZ Tubular Control Arms and you should could loss 40lbs per side, that is a substantial loss in weight to the front of your racer.
Note:
- Will not work with a factory G-body spindle.
- Designed for use with a Bump-Steer Kit. Will NOT accept tapered factory type tie-rod ends
- These are NOT meant for use with stock type steering boxes
- When replacing existing steering arms, you may need longer bump steer sleeves as the steering arm hole position on Quick Steer arms is moved outboard
- Cars with a steering box or cars that have higher trap speeds (180 MPH +) should use existing TRZ 303 steering arms
- These will NOT fit TRZ chromoly 1.5” drop spindles (Spindle Part #’s Starting w/325)
- Will fit stock spindles on 1967-69 Camaro/Firebird, 1964-72 A-body, and 1968-74 Nova when using rack & pinion steering
- You will need to grind the mounting surface of your stock spindles for the TRZ quick steer arms to mount flush
