Designed for street, moderate strip and circle track applications. Forged steel heat-treated for added strength. Machined to the tightest tolerances ADDITIONAL PARTS NEEDED: 31000 Light weight Steel Spool, 28 Spline BREAK IN PROCEDURE: Drive vehicle NORMALLY for twenty minutes and let the gear cool down. Than drive vehicle NORMALLY again for another twenty minutes and let the gear cool down. The break in period is very important for lapping the load and coast pattern of the gear mesh. This break-in procedure prevents gear noise, stress points to develop when the gear is properly set up to manufacturer's specifications. Periodically check the oil level to make sure the case is full of clean gear lubricant and the oil stays relatively cool to touch by cover or housing inspection for MAXIMUM Gear life. Either Mineral Hypoid gear oil or Synthetic gear lubricants are recommended.
