Head fits 1965-79 389-455 Pontiac engines and is similar to the 1969-70 Ram Air IV cylinder head. EDE60579 is for cars with low compression using 92 octane fuel. EDE60599 provides higher compression for racing. Both produce outstanding horsepower with excellent low-speed torque and throttle response. Assembled head includes stainless steel 2.11" intake and 1.66" exhaust valves, heavy-duty valve springs, steel retainers, keepers, valve seals, rocker studs and guide plates. Both 87cc and 72cc heads are fitted with hardened valve seats and bronze valve guides, and use Ram Air IV exhaust port flanges. Sold individually, bare or assembled.
