This plate was developed with common race transmissions in mind. On the initial install you will need part FPS036A to complete the package as well as bolt kit?FPH437150 (Long crank bolts). The beauty of this plate is that it bolts directly on to the standard 6 bolt SB Ford crank, provides the factory location for the ring gear, ensuring standard starter fitment and provides the correct locations for a standard TH400 or Powerglide torque converter. If you are coupling a Small BLock Ford engine to a Powerglide or TH400 transmission this plate will be a real problem solver.
