Combine these steering arms with the 1.5" Drop Spindles for early Camaro spindle or spindle mount and remove up to 13 additional pounds!
Beware of imitations! Look for the machined TRZ logo on each arm!
TRZ Aluminum Steering arms are designed to be used with TRZ Drop Spindles or 1964-1972 A-body, 1968-1969 F-body and 1968-1974 X-body spindles. Proven in drag race and pro street suspension applications.TRZ steering arms have two adjustment holes in them. The closest holes to the spindles should be used for drag racing, inner holes lack some radius, but are more stable. (steering is not as touchy) The outer holes are designed for street driving to gain about 15% more steering radius. Adding the aluminum steering arms to the drop spindles also helps with the bump steer geometry. The stock arms are angled and the TRZ Motorsports are straight, allowing the rod ends and ball joint to better align. The closer you can get the rod end side of the rack to be in line with the ball joint the less bump steer you will have. The rest can be eliminated with a bump steer kit. With a set of light weight billet aluminum steering arms alone you should drop weight at about six pounds per side. With a set of steering arms and TRZ drop spindle you should remove about 13lbs per side. Add a set of TRZ Tubular Control Arms and you should could loss 40lbs per side, that is a substantial loss in weight to the front of your racer.
Note:
When purchaing steering arms for use with a set of spindles for a G-Body or S-10. Select 1969 Chevrolet Camaro arms.
